Patient Dialog box allow User to create new patient, modify an existing patient or choose an existing patient for selected Study.

 

Default Patient: If for any study, insufficient patient information is sent from the modality, CoreArchive assigns unknown patient to the study.

 

If the patient is unknown, user can not edit the patient. If the selected study contains unknown patient, user can either create a new patient for the selected study or assign an existing patient to selected study.

Create a New Patient : For any selected study, User can add new patient by choosing 'Create New Patient' from drop down box. When user creates a new patient, the patient is assigned to the selected study automatically.

Modify an existing patient : For any selected study, User can modify existing patient if the patient is not an unknown patient. Patient's First Name, Last Name, DOB and PatientID can not be empty.

 

 

Choose an existing patient : For any selected study, User can select an existing patient for a selected study by choosing 'Look up for an existing patient' from drop down box. When 'Look up for an existing patient' is selected, a text box appears. User can start typing either the first name or last name. An auto suggest drop down shows the result based on the textbox entry as shown below. User can choose any patient and click Save which will assign the selected patient to selected study.
